Is that a custom home or did you buy a builders model?

Speaking of Ohio (looking at your profile), the housing prices there are damn low. I was looking at our model house and here it starts at $500,000, in Ohio it started at something like $210,000!

Trying building a new home in the Hartford, CT area. Some of the surrounding areas are ridiculious for prices.

Try Saddle River, NJ. My great uncle lived there (grandfather's brother..I think that's a great uncle?), he'd been there for years so his house was nice, but not huge or anything. Across the street was a castle. I sh1t you not. The guy bought it in Scotland, took it apart, brought it to New Jersey of all places, and put it back together EXACTLY like it was in Scotland. Cost him a cool $3mil, and it wasn't even a big castle.

It's a builder's model. They had like 10 to choose from, then you add options. Kind of like buying a car...it's was pretty cool actually. Real estate here is an absolute steal! This house was in the $220's after all the additions, and it's already appraised at $250K (and it's not even built yet!) So we have $30K equity in an unbuilt house heheheh!
