Since editing a post over and over doesn't seem to make it noticed again, I decided to put the pics of my accident in a new thread.

Basically, the damages don't look as bad as I remember them being, although I'm sure it's still going to be expensive as hell to fix.
Because my groceries had sat in the car for 4-5 days I had to throw everything in the garbage, and now the trunk has to get shampooed, which, of course I have to pay out of my own pocket :frown:

Here are the pictures: Pics

I'd feel bad about voting because it'd be one of those big numbers :(

Got run into at a stoplight last year. Ice, girl didn't expect it, slid into me. 20mph collision. My pickup's back bumper was toast, but otherwise the only body damage was a little dent/cut where the bumper caught the corner of the box. That was $1700. Didn't bother fixing it since that's half of what it was worth and I rarely drive it. Since then I've noticed how much other stuff was messed up...electrical system flukes, alignment completely whacked - didn't bend the frame, but aparantly 'shifted' everything. Few other things that may or may not be related.

Tis my opinion based on that minor collision experience that when a vehicle gets run into it's best to get it driveable and drive it to a dealer lot. If someone else wants to take a chance on it more power to them. That's if you can get a decent trade in value of course, but even after you spend thousands I doubt your car will still ever be right again.

I would make them pay for the groceries and the cleaning of your car, espically if the caused the accident, send them a copy of the recipt from the grocery store, and a bill for the shampooing of your trunk.

What about the lancer?

Well, whatever. Count yourself lucky that's all the camaro needed, and that your mom is covering the rest.

What was I supposed to do with them? I had to take the bus back home after the accident. I had the accident on Thursday and thought I'd have time to go to the garage on Friday, but because public transport is so slow I didn't have a chance to make it to the garage on friday. So.. they sat in there until Monday. The car was inside the garage the entire time too, my groceries might have been fine had the car been left outside. Didn't the mechanics notice the god damn stench on Monday? I sure did.
