Because Greg Hardy is still a really good young player in his prime. Rice was on the decline at the RB position.

If you're good enough... certain teams will put up with off the field issues.

The woman doesn't need to get battered again and again. This clearly wasn't the first time this happened and she went back to him. He did it again, she went back again. He bought her off and she didn't testify against him. If she had pressed charges to the fullest extent of the law the first time he'd see jail and she wouldn't get battered again and again. Why would he stop when she made it clear that she was okay with it? Nicole, you're an idiot!! Have him arrested and get the hell away. If you can't lift a finger to protect yourself don't be surprised if “Nothing is going to happen to him anyways.” The law can't do shit without a witness against him and if you're too in love with his money and that lifestyle to walk away from a dangerous animal you're just enabling it to happen.

The real question is why did we need pictures to get upset? Did none of you read the police report and transcripts of the bench trial?

Where was all this outrage 18 months ago when it happened? That's right, nobody gave a shit until TMZ showed us AGAIN. Ray Rice testified to punching his GF once and knocking her out, yet we didn't give a fuck until it was on video.

Nope. Just be thankful it's out now. Maybe public opinion will have an effect....doubtful because big $$ is involved.

I spent 2 years on the county grand jury. On of the last cases was an infant that had 17, minimum, broken bones ( they couldn't tell about the skull). The details weren't ever made public. The guy that did it may have gotten a few years because the baby didn't die....
