i just saw it on espn, it is viewable in that picture album thing.

on frame 3, the bird just gets hit, it's halfway between the pitcher and the batter. on 4 and 5 you can see the feathers.

maybe it's a sign, doves usually symbolize hope and peace in novels. if it was a dove.

<< Big Unit's fastball kills dove
During the seventh inning of the Diamondbacks' split-squad 10-6 victory against the Giants on Saturday, Randy Johnson hit and killed a dove flying in front of home plate with a fastball. Johnson's pitch to the Giants' Calvin Murray was about three-fourths of the way to home plate when it struck the bird. Giants second baseman Jeff Kent picked up the dead bird with his bare hands and jokingly pointed toward Johnson before taking it to the dugout. Johnson was not amused by the incident. "I didn't think it was all that funny," he said. On Aug. 4, 1983, Yankees outfielder Dave Winfield killed a seagull in Toronto with a warmup throw. The Ontario police charged him with animal cruelty, although the charge was later dropped.

What are the odds.....

saw it on TV last night. Un-freakin'-belivable! Don't think it could be repeated, even if they rehearsed!

Man that bird got vaporized :( Oh, sorry, it was a Dove.

Wow...I've never see something like that happen. The odds for that happening must be like getting struck by lightning.

What are the odds.....

Back in 1983 or so Dave Winfield of the Yankees threw a ball from the outfield and knocked down and killed a bird. I think it was in Toronto.

So it does happen, but rarely!!!

Pretty Much.

Who the hell drives at 90km/h anymore? Every other province is 100km/h and Alberta 110 during the day.

When you consider the odds...

I bet everyone in the stadium rushed out to buy a lottery ticket. :)
