***PICS*** My first appartment adventures...

We were approved on Friday, but I didn't feel like posting then. Now I do, so ... uh... w0ot.

We get the keys in TWO DAYS

I got my keys today. Front door, mail box, and club house. I have one single box of a few clothes sitting in my room. Both Rick and I have parking spots across the driveway through the complex and they happen to be next to eachother, so we're going to just park in whoever's not parked in the closest spot. We don't have much of a deck, but it's looking out over a wooded area, which is cool. Rick doesn't have a window in the master bedroom, but I've got one looking out into the wood. As soon as I can get pics up, I'll have pics for ya'll.

Total move in and first month's rent was $180 from me and $180 from Rick.

I'm QUITE happy with the place, too.

WOOHOO! We're in. It's going to work. I have my ATTBI installed, so now I feel more at home (pun intended ). Anyway, I'm only getting about 1300kbps, so I think I'm going to upgrade to the Ultralink, or Premium service, which is 3000kbps down and 512kbps up. I dunno. We'll find out.

I've got most of the stuff that I actually need here and the rest of it is going to get moved at my leisure.

Yes, this is a 2x2 - a 2bed x 2bath.

She's probably going to spend as much time at my place as I already do at hers. It's great to have people over and cook for them or something. It's also nice to come "home" with a dozen roses while preparing a nice romantic dinner for the two of us.

Yes, this is a 2x2 - a 2bed x 2bath.

Cool. Sounds like you're really psyched up. It was nice when my GF had her own place...I could just go over any old time...she had to move back in w/her Mom due to her hours getting cut. Her Mom is death. I call her Vampirella b/c she works nights and sleeps all day long.

Her mom has TIN FOIL on her bedroom windows, 2-inch-wide blinds on top of that and ROOM DARKENING curtains on top of the blinds. It's like a damn tomb in that room. Obviously, the windows NEVER get opened for fresh air, but that's another story, plus I never go in there anyway...it's like that side of the apt doesn't exist.

Anyways, congrats and be sure to post pics! Oh, do you guys have any furniture (besides computer desks!) or will you be doing the 2x4 piece of plywood on top of four cinder blocks for a coffee table thing?
