What's wrong with that? I do it all the time. Here's some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Notice that my liberty does in fact have tow hooks. Stop spreading misinformation, fuzzybabybunny.

Okay, here's another of me going over some train tracks. Note, for you Wrangler humpers, the libby did this fine while a YJ needed some extra wood to help with clearance so the skidplate didn't get hung up on the rails

Oh and... obligatory "That's not a mud hole, THIS is a mud hole..."

Took me 3 weeks to get this all clean

Car wash, anyone?

Last pic

Obligatory "Thats not a dirty vehicle. THIS is a dirty Vehicle"

On my quad, which has a 3000# winch mounted on it, I carry:
Tow strap
Snatch Block
Fix A Flat (tires also have slime in them)
Tire plugs
12v air compressor
Spare belt (doesn't have a chain)
Tools
First Aid kit
Emergency Blanket
Fire starter
Warm clothing
Maps
GPS
Compass
Extra fuel
Flashlight
Hand gun

I also always have my cell phone with me and we always take food and drinks.

Is that similar to a Cock Block?

you guys should have used a board to put under front axle, raise all wheels (with jacksrew), put board "bridge" under both wheels and then slowly back up. Could have worked :D

So get a buddy with a winch, tie their vehicle to a tree or have it far enough back so its not in mud and has good traction.... and pull you out?
Or call AAA back and tell them you need a tow truck with a winch and a driver thats not a pussy. Hell they'll send two tow trucks out if you need them to.

Wait, where are the pics?

Jeep is stupid for not putting tow hooks on EVERY vehicle. Even most cars have them-- get your Jeep stuck on a muddy road or in a ditch, and there's no legitimate way to pull it out. Unacceptable for an offroad brand- Remember, they skimped on tow hooks even back when all Jeep vehicles had solid axles.

You know who does put tow hooks on every truck off the line? Hummer...

Sorry, but this is nothing compared to the situation my buddy was in on the first day of school my senior year of high school. We decided to skip and go explore some trails and hang out drinking some beers, etc. Shit hit the fan when we came upon a stream.... but testing out the depth of the water, we decided we could do it. The first 3 vehicles made it through easily.. the last one however (a Bronco II), had a bit of difficulty. I'll let the picture speak for itself.

So let me get this straight, you consider going over railroad tracks to be offroading in the car you decided to throw a lift kit and some bigger tires on?

The picture IS speaking for itself, and it's saying, "I'm not a Ford Bronco ll, or any kind of Ford Bronco, none of which -- original, F150 based "full size", or re-downsized "ll" -- ever had four doors."

What's that, picture, you say you're probably an Isuzu Trooper? :p

And his friend looks like just the kind of guy to get stuck "offroading" a bone stock Jeep Liberty.

Exactly!

Jacks work great in mud.

Boards are just lying around, no doubt.

It is off-roading. That's not the only thing I did that day. We are in the woods, what would you consider it to be? I also like how you picked one picture out of the 5 to comment on. Also, with the "lift", I sit at the stock height +/- 1" of a YJ.
