Pics from the Zoo

Went to the zoo today and grabbed some good pics.
Camera is Canon Powershot A40
Zoo is Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, AZ.

Sunbear dropping his carrot. Its a bit blurry from the saftey glass and the bear dropping the carrot at the same moment I took the picture. What are the odds.

Giraffe reaching for some sweet leaf.

This is MUCH easier.

Leopard Tortoise

On Gaurd A peacock and a peahen gaurding this

This duck is on roids! He has a look ease and confidence about him. Reminds me of a duck character from Tom and Jerry, Henry, who skins Tom with a lawn mower.

Toucan Just follow your nose! The mesh on the back side is the same on the front. I alligned it so somehow it came out perfect.

Stare Down Those are some piercing eyes!

Where's the monkeys? 🙁

There are usually three exibits on display. One of the exibits was closed becuase they were putting in grass. They usually make for great pictures because the glass is up front and there were many of them. The others are more caged in and dont make for good shots.

And you notice he is trying to smother his natural predator, the evil black cap of death.

😀

Ill be damned if he didnt head straight for that thing as soon as I powered up my camera! They were moving fairly fast considering they are tortoises.
