i just uploaded a gallery of images from my recent trip to kenya and the masai mara safari pics can be seen here

the first 12 pics have quality issues but i was just learning how to use my camera.

she is cold blooded by nature and it was quite chilly in the morning. the 'living conditions' of the masai are quite traditional and dont be fooled as they are quite commercial and making lots of money off the tourists although i am not sure where it is all going. that masai village had two adult males, each with six wives and tons of children and grandchildren. all of the women are also circumcised and married at a very young age (pre-teen).

I used to live in Kenya (Naivasha), went into the parks all the time 😉

I still have nasty memories of being terrified of the rhinos outside the cabin one night (as a kid) 🙁

that is the one part of the country that we had planned on visiting but ran out of time. i guess it will have to wait for the next trip. we had elephants and lions roaming through the camp a few nights.
