pics.bbzzdd slow now?

I noticed sometimes it doesn?t respond while other times it?s as fast as it?s ever been.

Maybe we should do what we did before and have several hosting sites based on the same code. I remember we had like 5 different sites hosted by generous members who had extra bandwidth. This might reduce the strain on bbzzdd (yes I know several exist, but I don?t think a lot of people, especially newbs, know about it).

Over the summer, I have been working on recreating the old feel of the site for a web design course. If anyone wants to help me script it, I would be glad to buy a domain/hosting to get it going. PM me, thanks.

it has always been slow, at least for me. I don't understand why people use it.

QFT, Imageshack FTW.

You ungrateful bastards.

It's got ah heck all to do with the codebase, it's the server being hammered constantly, a lot of you seem to forget it's a completely free service, if you want to pay for a lightning fast server feel free to.

assuming you said what I think you just said, you don't know what you are talking about.

If you all like 2.95 so much, then why don't you get together, install it on your own servers, and host to your collective hearts' content? Christ...

bump cause bbzzdd is slow as molasses right now...maybe a few of us should throw in a few bucks for a higher bandwidth server

actually, if he charged a quarter per account per month he may get enough to up the bandwidth some...

i don't know about the quarter/month, but i'd be willing to donate a trifle considering how much i''ve used it 🙂

That actually isn't a bad idea but someone would need to be an experienced server admin.

Budget wise I would recommend LayeredTech.com which has several under $100/mo dedicated servers (not including control panel)
