pics.bbzzdd.com pics always save as a .bmp, why?

Are you sure? Seems to me like your IE cache is overfilled. Clear it and all sites will save as jpg.

I may have to try that on my windows 2k box at work... Is that a common issue? I never thought browser cache could cause that problem.... 😛

I believe this may be because the server actually, when you load a picture like http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/kehi66/17-103-921-02.jpg, sends your request to a PHP script which logs your file request, your referrer and some other things. Having done all that, the PHP script loads your image document as requested.

The workaround:
A) Right-clicking upon the URL to the image save them to disk by selecting Save Target As...
B) If you're viewing a thumbnail to the image, right-click as select Save Target As...

dwell is the coder and maintainer of the scripts that run pics.bbzzdd.com, so you may also wait for final word from him.

The "Save Target As..." option is greyed out.... what do I do??

UPDATE: Okay so I have to click on the link, then select "save target as..."

That's kinda weird. Something is wrong with the headers I am sending. Chalk it up as a bug. I will try and fix it asap.

It looks like a bug in mod_gzip, which I installed a month or so ago. I disabled it for now until I can figure out what's wrong. You can save images as normal now.

Yes it's common. Fixes this issue for every friend I have suggested it to.
