No name/number :( :| Hit my rear bumper on the right side. Bah. Any idea how much it will cost to get it fixed? I am guessing $200-$300? Or am I way off?

Most euro car companies do that.... Are you retarded?

Xiety, I'd guess somewhere around $1000. They might say you need a new bumper, or they may just need to fix it and repaint. Either way they're going to look at those 4 rings and say, "Sir, what position would you like to be chingalinged from?"

Hmmm that cheap? :Q I hope so :) Thanks.

uh.. no... a good body shop will most lkely repaint the entire bumper... and it's NOT going to cost $50-$100..
that's assuming they didn't do any structural damage (ie you don't need a new bumper)

Depends what you want done. If they can knock it back into shape, it'll be cheaper. Likely have to touch up the paint. If they have to replace it, you're likely looking at something ugly in terms of price. Or you can just leave it, depends what drivers are like in your area in general.

Anyway, if you take it to a private shop to get it fixed as opposed to a delaer, remember the three key words in the world of auto repair: "I'll pay cash."

Well, I'm no body shop expert, but having taken various vehicles enough times I can assume they would replace the rear bumber fender (not like the 70's where you bang out the chrome and buff it a bit and everything is good as new) then have to paint it to match and blend into the rest of the car, so perhaps 600-800 dollars if I had to take a guess....

Give your insurance company a call ;)

Are you kidding? I've gone to SEVERAL body shops before getting quotes for a hood repair (someone threw a very large rock at my car) to get quotes. I was walking away with $2400 quotes from every place. Called my insurance company, faxed over the info I'd collected, they called one of the body shops, ended up costing $1200.

You basically have no means of bargaining with a body shop. They have you by the nuts. But an insurance company, they have some weight, they can say, "Fine, we won't send any more of our customers to your shop." And that would cripple the shop.

Bmw damage

I have a question along the lines of car damage also.

Where I have that picture circled, the bottom light is knocked in, and the molding is gone. Does anyone know how much that may cost to fix?

I cant really tell the extent of the damage, but you might be able to fix that on your own.

a soft rubber mallet, some terry clothes, etc. That is assuming you're semi car-savy and willing to adventure to do it

If not, i'm not thinking a 1000 bucks to repair, but 50-100 is probally lowballing it. What you've said is probally accurate.

1000 is if they say you need a new bumper (which they probally will) which would suck. If you decide to for whatever reason, make sure you demand to see the recipt for the bumper purchase, and see the old bumper. Just to make sure they actually gave you a new one ;)
