When you think of a picnic, what type of food goes along with it? I'm thining maybe some homemade subs, but that is where I draw a blank.
 
Subs would be good.....fresh fruit (you could do melon balls wrapped in prosciutto ham if you're feeling sassy).....potato/pasta salad....a nice light white wine like a Pinot Grigio.....pie for dessert?
 
Fruit (strawberries, watermelon, or grapes), drinks (wine, fruit juice, water, beer, whatever you like), homemade subs were the first that came to mind for the main food.
