So a friend and I pull up to jack in the box, and a bum approaches us:

bum: I'm so hungry. I'm not asking for money or a handout, but could you give me some food?
friend: ya, ok, I'll give you some of my food.
bum: thanks. could you order me some chicken nuggets?
friend: no, but I'll give you some of my food.
bum: could you give me money so I could order some chicken nuggets?
friend: no, but I'll give you some french fries.
bum: no I don't want fries.

Yup yup yup...

that reminds me when i was in the casino and this lady comes up to me and asks for a buck so she can use the phone. I was like here u can use my cell phone. She said its a long distance call. So i said i have free long distance So she made the call and then asked for the dollar again, so she could call a cab

So i said screw off

and yes, I frequently give to homeless people when they ask. I have compassion for these people, but not when it comes to a situation like that

nice, nice...i never give homeless people money because chances are they will use it for drugs. If I have any food on me I'll give them that.

This reminds me of when I was on holiday in England. I was riding the London underground and a bum approached me and asked for some money to buy food. I had some fish and chips that I'd bought before getting on the tube so I offered it to him. He said, "I don't like fish" and walked off.

yea i don't know what's up with that.... you'd think if they were hungry enough to beg, they would be happy they got anything at all. we were sitting an ivar's one time when a guy asked us for some food, so we gave him our fries which we had left over because we were all full. he ate like 2 fries then decided to go beg from other people.
