i've driven a 1995 F-250 XLT Deisel Extended Cab as a work truck for almost 2 years and damn that was a work truck. it took everythig i threw at it. i loved that baby and now my friend got a 2005 F-250 Power-Stroke Turbo Deisel and damn that's a sweet baby too. i've driven all of my friend's silverados and they dont feel as manly as those F-250 or even the F-150's. they don't feel like they could tow anything let alone those japanese trucks

see i have found the opposite. Ive driven an F150 multiple times for work, but the GMC Sierra the boss owns feels much better than the older F150. a: the rotors actually dont warp after 20K miles (have heard of this on MANY MANY f150's) the Sierra feels like it has more power.

You conveniently left off the spec for the bed size (that's the very thing that differentiates a pickup from an SUV, minivan or wagon), which is NOT as full sized. Too pathetic...

Example I

Example II

Show me the Titan as fullsize as those half ton American trucks.

Last time I checked, eight foot is greater than 6-foot-5-inch.

What is your obsession with bed length? Are you living in your own world where bed length defines your manhood? What does that have to do with whether a truck is a work truck or not? What if I only have to transport 6 foot loads? Am I not doing work? What if I put the tailgate down to carry 9 foot long boards? That's not work?

You've made about 10 posts in this thread about bed length, which has nothing to do with the classification of a truck!! There is seriously something wrong with you, and you'd realize that if you went back and read all the responses where you went on with that stupid bed length garbage.

You trying to change the subject, too? When somebody says, "Titan is as fullsize as any half ton American truck." I say they're WRONG! The bed length is exactly why. I'd NEVER buy one without an 8' bed. But then, I'd actually be using it for construction, so that may play into the decision... a bit!

god i hate the new silverado's.... they never should have screwed with the older design (but i do have an 01 Silverado)

Foreign trucks are not work trucks

American versions of foreign work trucks are not work trucks. Also, if a truck 'works for me' then it is a work truck to me. Just because a lot of the local, state, and federal governments like to 'buy American' doesn't mean the rest of civilization stopped working and using trucks in the process.

You want to know why the local, state and federal governments buy American? Because they get huge fleet discounts on them. That is all.

Yeah, I know. Because they wouldn't be caught dead paying what the MSRP lists them for. As such, the manufacturers have to decentize (reduce their sale value) in order to get them sold.

As much as I think you're an idiot about American cars, I think you're right about American trucks. The Titan is too small to put fishing poles in the bed, even at a diagonal.

Gee, I can't imagine why you'd actually want to close the tailgate on your load. What a silly thing to do!

lol get em ornery🙂

Seriously what a pain in the ass to try and rope say 20 sheets of 4x8 plywood from decaptitating the person behind you when all you got to do is shut the bed on a ford. I doubt nissan could even haul that much let alone shut the bed.

And it is. How long is the bed on the Ford F-150 Super Crew?

Depends what you select can be 8ft, 6.5 or 5. Ford gives you options unlike Nissan who can't even come with a bench seat where someone can lay accross with her head on my lap.. or pile three with comfort in front

Considering the FACT that about 80% of the 1/2 ton fullsize trucks sold are short bed extended or crew cab trucks or single cab short bed I'd say the bed has absolutely nothing to do with it. Are you going to argue with the owner of a Ford F-150 Super Crew that his truck isn't really a fullsize truck? I'd like to see that.

You are wrong. Just suck it up and admit you were wrong. I won't laugh I promise. 😀

No, you can't select a bed length on the Super Crew. 5.5' is all you can get.

Have you never seen a Ford truck on the road before?

Proves otherwise. If that doesn't work, click on Build & Price.

...a Ford F-150 Super Crew that his truck isn't really a fullsize truck?

It's NOT as full sized as one with an 8' bed. Can't get much simpler than that!

I think he's right as far as 1/2 tons go. To get the longer bed with the crew you need to get to 3/4 or above.

Look, it either is or it isn't. There are no degrees of fullsizedness.

If the F150 SuperCrew is a fullsize truck then the Titan King Cab, or whatever the hell they call it, is also a fullsize truck.

It doesn't work. It tells you to change to regular or extended cab versions to pick a different box size. 5.5' is the only bed length you can get on the F-150 Super Crew.

I guess I was right, you'd have to pick the 250 or 350.
