run some stability program first, then up the FSB, if it couldn't boot, then up the voltage by 0.05.

Don't up it unless you need to. See if it's stable, if not then up the voltage. If it is stable, keep upping the speed. Your temp seems fine and that chip probably has a lot more left in it so go for it. Also, If you have the stock HSF with the copper plate on the bottom, take the plate off and put some AS3 in there if you're really concerned. AMD puts the grey thermal crap between the copper and aluminum. Just unscrew, slide the plate off and clean away.

myself i run a minimum of 24 hours of prime95 about 6 hours of 3dmark 2k1 and a few other odds and ends. but for yoru chip you should be able to get 2.2ghz at stock voltage with ease....if you cant then more than likely youll get 2.2ghz @ 1.675v just gotta remember ont he newer bartons 2.2-2.3ghz is the minimum you should get....the max being 2.4ghz all the way to 2.6ghz....2.6being very lucky and or very good cooling

i uped it to 1.725 and at 10x200 it quits at test 30 with a fatal error. what could be the problem? i must be really unlucky or something. i guess i'll just forget about overclocking.

maybe its your RAM timings. If they're at SPD could you tell us what your motherboard is telling you about SPD? Also what company makes your ram?

i tried mem timeings at spped. which were. 8,3,3,2.5 and it locked up in prime95 on test 4. no error. froze. this was at 10x200.

i'm trying 8,3,3,2 right now. does anyone have any ideas on what could be my problem or what timmings i should use? should i up the voltage to the ram?
