Im looking at Iscsi solutions, and want the performance of it. Does anyone have a good, somewhat inexpensive solution for an iscsi rack mounted nas? Ive looked at dell, netapp, etc and cant find one that is of good price, good backup utility, etc.

maybe I should look at a bdr...

There is a difference between a NAS an iSCSI storage device. iSCSI acts just like an internal drive that another box hosts, where as the NAS users are going to directly access.

What are you actually looking for?

I'm in the process of building one for work with 10Gb NICs, StarWind, and a 24 2U drive case for HyperV Storage, in the end its going to be 10-12k.
