Picking the right power supply

Can you give me some advice, I'm looking for a new power supply to replace my
OCZ PowerStream 420watts.

I have 2 raptor 150 and 2 sata seagate 120
I have the 7800gt, but I might switch for the 7900gtx when it comes out
I have 2 sticks of ram, 3 usb devices, 2 120mm led fans, 1 3700+ oced to 2.9ghz
a8r-mvp board. 1 x-fi and 1 hauppauge pvr 150.
also I have a front LCD LIS2 display.

how much power do I need, and which power supply would be good for me?
my maximum budget is 180 USD.

Get a Tagan 480W and save yourself $90 bucks, you won't be dissappointed. That or get a fortron 450W.

Here are some suggestions- I think the 500-550W range will be more than sufficient for your needs, as long as it's from a good manufacturer.

Antec NeoHE 550W PSU- Reliable and quiet PSU that won't break the bank at $118, modular connectors make cable management easier

Seasonic S-12-600 - If you feel you really need the 600W, though IMHO that's overkill for a non-SLI/crossfire system, this one's a keeper- runs practically SILENT and is of excellent quality, but costs $150- though the 500W model is also available for $129 and is probably what I would buy if I were in your situation. I just pulled these from Newegg so you can get an idea of what they look like/cost, but as always, shop around and you might be able to do a bit better on price. Good luck with your upgrade!

Is your system unstable or are you just looking to upgrade to something more robust (peace of mind).

I'm a long time fan of Enermax power supplies. I just put a new 485W Enermax NoiseTaker in my machine, and it is indeed quiet. I really like the Liberty line w/ modular connectors tho. I find most power supplies are a little octopus-like with the number/length of cabling. Being able to install only the cables you need would be nice.
