I see that there are a lot of people useing the P4 1.6....is the 1.6 better then the 1.8 or just cheper?.. oh and If somebody was looking for a 1.6 to overclock, what would they look for (like what ver of the chip and the date, etc)?

Please learn to use the "search" function. This same question was asked here a few days ago (again).

The 1.6A is acknowledged as the best buy/performance O/C'er. It has also been discontinued by Intel (so hurry if you want one).

I didn't intend to be harsh . . . the sooner you learn to use "search" the more you will learn quickly - a vast library is open to you.

The 1.6A - latest version. According to Intel employees and respected members of the forums, they are about all the same (whether assembled in Malaysia or Costa Rica) - superb O/C'ers. Some DO better than others - it is the luck of the draw. Some people believe some retailers "pick-over" OEM CPUs and will recommend a retail packaging.
