OK...I've got two power supplies in front of me that are both of questionable quality, to say the least.

One will be put into a very basic computer build (low-end C2D, small hd, 2GB RAM, one optical, using onboard video and sound...so not a very big power draw at all) and one will be kept as an absolutely last resort emergency backup power supply.

The two in question are the Thermaltake PurePower 3 500W and the XClio Greatpower 500W....both are only a step or two away from a Deer, I know, but which is the worse of the two?

And which would you keep....in hiding and never admitting you owned it? ;)

I think the Xclio is a CWT platform using cheaper components.
I don't know what Thermaltake is using now...

Anyway I'd go with the Xclio as the better option.
