Picking an X79

My budget is $400 I've decided to go X79 and stay on that platform for about 3 years until the warranty runs out on the board

My choices are

Asrock Extreme 6
Asrock Extreme 9
Asus Rampage Maximus IV

Any suggestions would help looking for cool motherboard that's stable doesn't get hot and a reliable overclocker thanks guys My apologies if this has been posted to the death loll

as far as mine is, it's pretty good, I've had my i7 950 (base 3.07g) up to 4.3g stable.

I can't speak on the x79 tho as I haven't played with one but going by my experience with the x58 sabertooth I'd lean towards that tho it does have fewer x16 slots.

BTW which rampage are you looking at? There isn't a Maximus listed on the asus page.
