Picking a mobo/case combo for a P4 2.26 Ghz

Hello everyone, I have a few questions. I'm going to start building my first computer soon and I would like some opinions about motherboard/case combos. Mainly, what kind of case will fit the notherboard I buy (i.e. PCI and AGP slots lineup with the ones on the case, etc.)? I'm stationed overseas now so I would rather not have to deal with the hassle of returning a motherboard or case because they don't match up. I realize this is a pretty basic question, but your input would be appreciated so I don't screw myself over putting my comp together. I plan on buying a P4 2.26 Ghz at 533 mhz because it seems like the best Intel performance/price CPU right now. I may overclock, but I'm not sure if I will or not. Hopefully this is enough info to answer my question. Thanks!

Well as long as you get an atx motherboard and an atx case then the pci and agp slots will line up. Personly i would recomend an case made by Antec or Cheiftec (they are the same cases). They just came out with an aluminum version of one of their cases that i would recomend. Many people are going to tell you that aluminum is superior bc of cooling but i thnk that is just a myth but i just spent the weekend painting my case which is a full tower steel antec sx1200 and hauling it from my basement to the 3rd floor wasnt fun. Steel is heavy and just becuase of that i would go aluminum if you can spend the extra money but if you cant the only differcein the steel case is gonna be weight.

Just look for any standard atx case, not micro atx. Same for the motherboard. Most will fit any atx case, and some mobos come with their own backplates that will pop in any atx case.

go w/ the Antec Performance Plus 1080 w/ 430 watt power supply and any standard atx form factor motherboard. Good luck.
