Picking a LED fan

I am at the last phase of picking out parts for my case (decided to go with the Antec PlusView), so I am looking to get 5 fans... two rear ones come with the case, but I thought I might as well swap them for LED ones!

I am interested in subtle Blue LED fans that don't get too loud, are these good candidates?

Hey, I have the same case and I don't think you need to get 5 LED fans. 2 would be wasted since you can't really see the ones in the front. I moved the antec ones that came with the case to the front, and bought 3 LED fans for the window and 2 rear exhaust. As for the actual fans, I went cheap and got some from SVC for $3 something each and picked them up there. They were ball bearing fans, which I think have the longest life?

I have the same case. Used the two stock fans in the front and three CoolerMaster fans (the same ones someone16 linked) for the side and back.

I strongly suggest you order five of the CoolerMaster fans. One, it will save a few bucks later if you decide to add a fan controller and want speed sensors. Two, the LEDs may glow through the front grille of the case when running.

Thanks for the recommandations! I have decided to go for the CoolerMaster fans x5 at NewEgg since with $5 more bucks I get two extra ones. Do you guys think I will need a fan controller? Are the fans too loud to be kept on the whole time? Also I am a little worried about the LEDs being so bright that I can't sleep at night... there aren't any switch that I can cut the LEDs out, is there?

Hmm, I didn't think about that. Do you have any pictures of this? I'd like to see how much it actually glows through.

Sorry I do not have a camera here so no pictures. But if I try to look into the front of the case at a slightly upward angle I can see the inside of the case, so I am guessing it will work. My front two fans are the stock Antec units and I am soon replacing them with two more of the CoolerMasters (and kicking myself for not getting five the first time).

BCSeaMonkey, a fan controller may be a good idea if you plan to sleep in the room with the computer on. The fans are not horribly loud but are noticible and decently bright. The fan controller "should" dim the lights as well as lower the fan speed. Search for another thread I started in this forum for some ideas.
