The Pickering story was very good for the President's side. I will be interested to see how the Republicans who attacked 60 Minutes as liberal media last week after the Clarke piece react to the Pickering story.

Pickering is a good man who got a raw deal by race dems like Schumer. Who does'nt agree that 7.5 years behind bars for burning a cross is a bit steep with no priors? 7.5 years!! 2nd degree murderers spend less time in prison than that. All pickering did is lower it to a more "resonable" time of 2.5 years and the dems are totally focused on that negecting all he's done for civil rights. Pretty funny when Meger evers brother even defends him. No shame in politics it appears.

The Republicans invented judicial impasse during the Clinton administration when they controlled the Judiciary Committee. Just go back and look at how many CLinton appointees never made it out of committee based on politics. What goes around comes around.

Go back farther. the democrats did it during Regean and H.W. So dont give me this sh!t republicans invented it.
