In every market/region I've every looked in, the cheapest you'll find any SA is $7.50/6 or 13.50/12. the "specialty" ones are usually more. it's unbelieveably easy to get far better beer for the same money (or less) in all those markets. there is no way in hell that any SA is worth more than $1 a bottle.

My local place had winter lager at 4.95/6 a couple weeks ago (clearence). I passed because I had other things I wanted to get, but that's about the only time I've ever seen SA at what I would consider a "good" price.

In Florida, it's typically about $12-14 for a 12 pack. I love Sam Adams Light.. only light beer I know of that still tastes like it has some hops in it.
