Picked up my new Sig 228 Two-tone today

Bought in an online auction. The Sig 228s aren't made anymore, so they're getting more rare and expensive. I already have a blued 228 w/ Crimson trace laser grips, which has served me as my nightstand\carry gun for 10 years. This two tone was just too pretty to pass up.

It will join it's brothers 220, 226, 239 and 245 in the safe. 🙂 I'm a bit of a sig fan. I've got my eye on an all stainless 245, waiting for it to come back to auction...

That's HOT. How much did you pay?

A virtual steal at $690.

I'm looking for that stainless 245 to come back to auction, also looking to get an H&K USP Compact .45 Variant 7. It would be my first H&K.

I'm not usually a fan of two tone pistols, but SIGs just look great with a stainless slide.

I never used to be a fan either, they just sort of grew on me over time. Thinking of getting a USP Compact in two tone as well.

The last time I was in my gun shop they had a 229 Equinox for sale (sooo hot). It was quite difficult to pass up, but I had promised my rifles some already much delayed glass.

The equinox is quite heavy compared to the other Sigs, and overpriced, IMO.

Funny, it didn't feel any heavier than a regular 229 (certainly lighter than my porker Beretta 96).

A gay guy who owns a handgun? 😕

You're breaking some sort of stereotype there.

I have nearly 15 handguns. And a variety of assault and battle rifles. Even a deer rifle or two. 😉
