Picked up my new 428i Gran Coupe!

I'm a bit late on the pictures from the holidays but here they are! I picked it up on Tuesday and I love it so far. All of my friends got new cars this month including a GMC Yukon, a Lexus GS350, Lexus IS 250, Accord Sport, and they all were telling me how awesome my car looks. When I told them I was getting it in blue, they didn't think it was gonna turn out nice but they told me that it completely changed their mind!

Next up, getting a 15% tint all around and I ordered my BavSound replacement speakers. Down the line I will be getting Stage 1 tune.

First impressions? The car is much faster than I thought. I kept testing driving 435i's at the Ultimate Driving Event so I thought that the 428i was gonna be a huge step down. I was wrong. This thing flies. I've never used the tiptronic on any of my other cars but I find myself driving in manual more often than not.

I got the standard Hi-Fi sound and after reading through different BMW forums I was expecting the worst. It is actually not that bad at all. The sound starts distorting over 75% volume but it's definitely not a deal breaker. However, I do love my music and for $400 I couldn't turn down the BavSound.

My one regret? Not getting the damn backup camera. I chose the wrong area to save money lol. Oh well it's a lease.

That's my old Civic that I replaced with this beauty for comparison

Ordered 9/28/2014, picked up 11/25/2014.

36 Months/12,000 miles a year

$45,300 MSRP

$40,820 Selling Price

0.0008 Money Factor

$4100 due at signing ($3150 for Multiple Security Deposits that is returned to me in full at the end of the lease, $950 for first month's payment and registration fees)

Lease Protection included that covers tires and excessive wear and tear.

$428 a month

Nice car! but I'm so confused with BMW's new naming scheme. I thought 4 series were coupes only and 3 series were the sedans 😕

Very nice, I have a '13 F30. I definitely would've bought the Gran Coupe, but it wasn't out when I bought my car. Congrats, and enjoy!

very nice, can you list out what options you got?

M-Sport Package, Estoril Blue paint and Anthracite wood trim.

I went back and forth on what I wanted for weeks. First I was gonna go sport trim and technology package which has the navi and HUD. Then I realized as cool as the HUD was it just wasn't worth 3 grand extra.

The M-Sport made it so much more aggressive and that blue is an M-Sport only color. Like I said, I only regret not getting the camera. BMW likes to nickel and dime you for every single option.

What's the residual on that car? 1.92% apr is pretty solid.

Edit: With the peanut gallery on the naming scheme, no idea wtf 4 series grand coupe is.

Looks very nice (love the color). I love to make fun of BMW's naming scheme too... "it's the sedan version of the coupe version of the sedan"

It's 62% at 12,000 miles. I locked in my price when BMW was inflating their residual numbers in October.

Nice! Not much more a month than my 228i. I thought the 4 was too big when driving it, but if I ever needed 4 doors, this would be the way to go. The N20 is an amazing motor.

Wait, you're tinting a lease and adding in speakers?

/confused

No rules against tinting a lease.

I am getting my speakers from http://www.bavsound.com/

They are exact fits for BMW cars and are completely plug and play. No need for any extra wiring or amps. They have a pretty sick sale right now and will only cost me $450. Supposedly they are better than the Harman Kardon upgrade that BMW offers which was $900. I will probably just leave them in there when I return the lease.

Not just a coupe with four doors...but also a liftback? Confused indeed.

Nice looking car though 🙂

Huh, I didn't know you could tint a lease. I always under the impression you weren't allowed to alter anything, unless it was done by a dealer. Obviously the speakers plug and play would be fine since you can un-do that quickly (same for any bolt on I guess).

I can't see the pics here at work, but congrats nonetheless. Did you get that cheesy wood trim inside that 98% of BWM's I've ever looked at have? Was the #1 turn off for me.. Otherwise, best cars I've ever driven.

Love that color... now that you mentioned its M Sport package only color it will be easy for me to pick these out on the used market a few years from now.

I'd want a 335 or 235

Beautiful car. BMW's new naming is stupid. I hate myself for liking the 4-series Gran Coupe, although it should really be just a 3-series hatch >_<.

But great choice.
