I had been looking for the last 6months. My budget was 5k and I wanted one already lifted.
Well I finally found one (this isn't my picture):
Details:
-2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport
-134k miles
-2inch body lift, 4inch suspension, 1inch transfercase drop
-33x12.50x15 tires all within a month old
-New shocks
-Transmission replaced one year ago (along with the clutch)
-4wd works (high and low)
-New radiator and pump
-no rust (besides minor surface rust)
Bad:
-needs a new top, rear window was cracked and taped back together
-a couple of dents (not a big deal)
-needed a 3rd brake light (damn inspection)
-no 5th wheel
-no A/C
-occasionally downshifting into 2nd it pops out of gear
Ordered:
-new top
-5th wheel bracket
-5th wheel light used from ebay for inspection purposes
-5th wheel wheel and tire
I'll take better pictures once I put all the new stuff on.
I did take it to a jeep dealership to get some minor service work done. I had them adjust the ebrake, change all the fluids (oil, transmission, diff, etc...), change the spark plugs, and change the belts. Everything checked out well though, they said I got it for a steal at 5k.
Why did I buy it? It cures two itches of mine, 4x4 itch and convertible itch. The windows have been off since Day 1 and I plan on keeping it that way until it gets cold out. I'll also be heading down to the obx for a couple weeks, so it will be fun to drive on the beach down there (in the past I would borrow trucks to use).
I still have my Acura for the days where I want more comfort and for general daily use. This Jeep will just be my car I can screw around with, and not care if it breaks, gets dented, etc.. i.e. my toy
