I had been looking for the last 6months. My budget was 5k and I wanted one already lifted.

Well I finally found one (this isn't my picture):

Details:
-2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport
-134k miles
-2inch body lift, 4inch suspension, 1inch transfercase drop
-33x12.50x15 tires all within a month old
-New shocks
-Transmission replaced one year ago (along with the clutch)
-4wd works (high and low)
-New radiator and pump
-no rust (besides minor surface rust)

Bad:
-needs a new top, rear window was cracked and taped back together
-a couple of dents (not a big deal)
-needed a 3rd brake light (damn inspection)
-no 5th wheel
-no A/C
-occasionally downshifting into 2nd it pops out of gear

Ordered:
-new top
-5th wheel bracket
-5th wheel light used from ebay for inspection purposes
-5th wheel wheel and tire

I'll take better pictures once I put all the new stuff on.

I did take it to a jeep dealership to get some minor service work done. I had them adjust the ebrake, change all the fluids (oil, transmission, diff, etc...), change the spark plugs, and change the belts. Everything checked out well though, they said I got it for a steal at 5k.

Why did I buy it? It cures two itches of mine, 4x4 itch and convertible itch. The windows have been off since Day 1 and I plan on keeping it that way until it gets cold out. I'll also be heading down to the obx for a couple weeks, so it will be fun to drive on the beach down there (in the past I would borrow trucks to use).

I still have my Acura for the days where I want more comfort and for general daily use. This Jeep will just be my car I can screw around with, and not care if it breaks, gets dented, etc.. i.e. my toy

Nice. I'd love one but as you found shopping they are really quite expensive.

Yeah, people seem to think they are worth gold...

Anyways, new front bumper, 8000lbs winch, and rear bumper on the way (smittybelt XRC series)

Nice! I was looking for a Wrangler for a while too, but finally settled on the Sport Trac. It's not as rugged, but comfortable... so eh. At least it has a solid rear axle... that counts for something, right?! :p
