I LOVE camera straps where you can store flash cards on them. I have a Lowepro one that can store two extra CFs. Never going back to stock camera straps.

can't you ghetto rig a little pouch to store CF cards? I mean, $60 bucks for a strap?

With a memory card wallet and a sewing kit, I'm sure you could ghetto rig a pouch. The strap that I had doesn't just have the memory card pouch, but it also has quick release buckles for when the neck strap just gets in the way and you want to remove it quickly. The foamy + non-slip material is also more comfy than the stock strap.

optech? i love mine, heh. a pouch is a neat idea, but i think a belt pouch would be better. namely because I'd want memory and a battery. put both on the strap and it'd seem bulky IMO.

who pwned him, and what was it for? :p

on a related note, is there some hang-from-the-belt pouch that stores, say, two lenses and has a small pocket for spare cards and batteries?

EDIT: note to self, search before you post: http://products.lowepro.com/catalog/Beltpacks,7.htm

I know it's pricey. I'm not getting it because it can store memory cards. Just the way it holds the camera and is easy to access makes it worthwhile to me.

I have an op/tech for each of my cameras as well though.

I have an op/tech and love it. I though the default camera strap was good enough till I got a larger lens, then I knew something better must be out there.

Are Op/Tech straps just that popular, or is this the POTN effect at work? :) I have one as well. Huge improvement over the default strap.

I've been contemplating getting an UpStrap for awhile -- here, but I've been too lazy to order one. I actually have an old Optech strap that was on a Minolta film camera I got at auction, but I haven't used it.

As for the CF issue, I attended a Tamron class one time, and they gave us these little pockets that attach to your camera strap with velcro that hold a CF card. Quite handy!
