Pick the comedian

Queasy

I have been racking my brains for a couple of weeks trying to come up with something relatively cheap and fun for my wife and I to do for our 5 year anniversary this friday. My company inadvertently gave me the idea today by having a corporate event at a local comedy club. My wife could use a good laugh right now but there aren't any big name comics coming to town. I'm unfamiliar with the ones at the three local comedy clubs even though three apparently appeared on Last Comic Standing (never watched it).

There's:
Irshad James at Showcase Comedy

Ty Barnett and Chris Porter at The Funny Farm

Pablo Francisco at The Punchline

Ideas, Suggestions, Ridicule?

Update:

Took my wife to see Ty Barnett and Chris Porter. She thought I was going to take her out to dinner at our favorite restaurant (Stoney River Steakhouse) and then go see Pirates of the Caribbean II. She was mighty surprised when I turned away from Stoney River. She really really enjoyed it though. It's been a good 4+ years since we've been to a comedy club.

Ty Barnett was dead hilarious. Chris Porter was dead stoned but funny. I swear I haven't seen eyes that red since going to parties in college. Porter ended his act by singing a song and playing a guitar that completely didn't jive with the rest of his act. It wasn't even a comedic bit. Just him playing a guitar and singing for 5 minutes.

I'm actually wanting to see Ty and Chris myself when they come here. If the wife likes funny voices humor, then probably Pablo is your best bet. I don't know the other comic you listed so can't say there.

Pablo Francisco came to my college and did a show. He was funny, but not great, one of the few comedians I saw live that didn't really crack me up that much. So I guess I'd recommend one of the others, although I am not familiar with either.
