Nice choice.

Btw, are those bikes comfortable to ride for any length of time (the style in general)?

this one in particular is one of the comfier... if that's a word.

the gsxr 750 is the least comfiest.. the zx6r 636 is more in the 750 category..

the r6 isn't HORRIBLE but not as good as the zx6r. My ride home was about two hours back roads... I stopped after about an hour and half... i was a little sore but not bad at all. I'd say two hours is a good time.. which is about a tank of gas.

The breakin period SUCKS.

no higher than 4k rpm until 500 miles, then 6k until 1000 miles

4k in sixth gear is like 45-50 mph. I bought the bike 1.5 hours away (driven at 85-90mph in a car)

took me almost THREE HOURS to get get home... that's after almost getting run over by some stupid fscking REDNECK in a mustang going 100 in the slow lane, not paying attention to me constantly flashing my brake lights.

and yes, I varied the rpms the entire way home... gotta break that motor in proper!

lol....

bought it... but get this.. the battery (the SEALED battery) leaked onto my rear shock and swingarm at ~300 miles. I immediately rinsed it off w/ water... and it's all under warranty... but wtf. It wasn't a TON of damage... but damn.. 300 miles.

So.. the dealer ordered all the parts which should come in in a couple weeks. It's at the dealer right now for the 600 mile service.

I get a little gear whine (esp. in 6th gear) other than that she runs great...
