I have been wrapped up in skyrim for too long now and need to start something new. i have picked up too many games through amazon and steam deals and don't have a strong feeling about what to play next. pick something from this list of stuff I have sitting on my harddrive that won't be a waste of time.

assassin's creed 2
KOA Reckoning
witcher 1 enhanced edition
the saboteur
red faction guerilla
Divinity 2 DKS
dragon age origins + xpacs
dragon age 2
dirt 3
serious Sam 3
far cry 2

The Witcher, just because it's my favorite RPG ever.

Or Red Faction Guerilla if you like smashing stuff and taking down buildings with a hammer.

Serious Sam 3 if you want some serious shooty shoot shooter action.

Play and beat Assassin's Creed 2 before the end of October so you're ready for AC3 when it comes out!

Another vote for Witcher.

Although if the forums are to be believed you will either think it totally awesome (like me) or think it the worst game ever made (like some others)

Dragon Age Origins x100000000

I never did get into The Witcher. The combat was not great and it started off EXTREMELY slow.

Dragon Age: Origins Definitely.

Oh, and if you are worried about a waste of time, delete DA2 directly. You will thank yourself.

The Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition was such a sleeper bargain bin hit a great game to me even more so than the second game so another vote for the Witcher Geralt of Rivia.

Agree. The first is the better one. 2 is okay, but first one is in a class of it's own.

A thing to remember if OP plays this is to hit F3 to get over the shoulder view. http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Camera_movement#Isometric_Camera_Movement
Ya the Witcher 1 (EE) really unexpectedly and honestly blew me away pretty well like no other game has ever done. Reason being is that I picked up the Witcher 1 (EE) at a local drug mart computer section among a bunch of other games real cheap in the bargain software/games section I think I paid 8 bucks for it and did not really expect to much from it in fact I had never even heard of the game but it sounded epic and the box art was sweet and heavy so it was a great find and played perfect on my 4890 CF 2009 rig 🙂 I hope OP gets to experience the classic magical kingdom and story that is waiting in The Witcher: Enhanced Edition.

I didn't get far in the witcher, just didn't really enjoy it.

So my vote goes to dragon age origins, great game. Then when you're done, burn dragon age 2 and erase its existence from your memory.

Witcher Enhanced ed I like exploring areas, completing quests ...and the combat system was ok, but takes some getting used to. I think there is a patch to improve combat???? Personally, the combat in Witcher 1 is easier for me...not so much mashing the left mb all the time.

Wife of Runz

DRAGON AGE ORIGINS SO FREAKING GOOOOOOOOD

AC2 is also really good

I tried playing the witcher two twice.. couldnt get into it

Hello Kitty Island Adventure

I already have a level 35 toon in full tier 10 raid gear, claws of dismay and everything.

It looks like its the witcher or DA:O, more support here for the witcher than I expected. I gave SS3 a whirl for a couple hours last night, its pretty hard😵 on the default setting but a nice throwback shooter in a world of hand holding CoD clones.

It's amazing how polarizing The Witcher is.

I know. Isn't it? I have heard nothing but RAVE reviews of it. When I fired it up, I could not get into it. And RPGs are my absolute favorite types of games. Not that Witcher isn't a good game, it just didn't strike me. I had the same reaction to Arcanum. another (apparently) wonderful RPG. But I just didn't enjoy it.
