So my girl friend broke my cheap mr. coffee burr grinder while swatting a fly, so I'm in the market for a new one. I want to upgrade, since the mr. coffee didn't seem to actually put out a consistent grind.

My two potential purchases are the Capresso Infiniti at $90: http://www.amazon.com/Capresso-560-0...s=burr+grinder

or the De Longhi at $60: http://www.amazon.com/DeLonghi-Stai...&qid=1396283448&sr=8-11&keywords=burr+grinder

Both get 4 stars on amazon, though the Capresso has a ton more reviews. Anyone have any experience with them?

No poll fail.

I have heard great things about the Capresso. I have the Mr Coffee one your GF wrecked. Please let me know how much quieter this one is?

I had a Krupps which was poorly reviewed. It worked decently for 5 or 6 years, but, tended to clog a lot, and the top cover for the hopper chipped. I replaced it with that particular Capresso grinder. I've had it now for maybe 2 or 3 months.

It works great for french press with very coarse setting.
It works great for drip with medium or somewhat fine setting.
The hopper is nice and big.
The output is one piece, meaning there isn't a lid to contend with when pouring the fresh grinds into your coffee maker.

Overall, I'm very pleased with it.

As far as noise levels go, the Capresso is not quite as loud as my old Krupps, but it's still plenty loud.
