Meh. I never see the appeal of shoes that fall off easilly, are annoying to walk in, and are not legal for driving.

If you want something casual, semi-expensive, extremely comfortable, and quick to put on/off for a quick trip to the coffee shop, try something like this.

Not legal for driving? a quick google looks like it's legal to drive barefoot or w/ flip flops? Got a link to support that claim? I actually am interested cause I drive in them all the time...

Out of the 3 of those I like the KC plain, but I wouldn't pay $100 for them. Go to DSW or something, I got KC Reaction dress shoes for half that price.

I'm just going from what I was told in driver's ed. Unsafe footwear fell under one of the generic laws about not driving in a safe mannor. I doubt there is a specific law that specifies what can and can't be worn on each body part.

There probably isn't a specific law against driving with an elephant on your hood, but I bet you'll still get ticketed for negligent driving.

No such thing as a "dressy" sandal...a sandal's a sandal to me. I've had a pair of the BR crisscross sandals before when the soles were thinner and just a slab of leather...not very comfortable and difficult to stay on.

If you want something convenient to wear but still looks nice, just get a pair of loafers or some slip ons (I have a pair of backless Diesel suede slip ons), perhaps by Cole Haan (something like these, of which I'm picking up a pair, only in a different color).

Good luck though...nothing wrong with spending some money on good shoes. I've picked up 3 pairs of shoes in the last 2 weeks. w00t. 😀

closed shoes = no ventilation & requires socks.... hence looking for a pair of sandals.. something less scrubby than foam/rubber thongs
