that's what i should have mentioned.

i grew up playing tennis, but my husband has no idea to play. i have my racquet here with me but he doesn't have any -- and our apartment complex has tennis courts! it's a shame. i guess i'll have to work on him.

Pre 17th centruy Europ re-enactment. The SCA is the place to go for info. Some pretty cool stuff. I took some Fencing lesson through them, it was pretty cool. It was like practal fencing, not that olympic style fencing stuff.

I had a friend who learned how to use a rapier and a dagger and fence while useing both of them. Basically you learned how to fence as if you were fencing back then, do either defend your self or kill your attacker.

for the re-enactments that are done in high spirit and character, it is very fun. The entire setting becomes involved and it's fun for the participants and observers alike

the sword isn't for protection from mugging, but to protect my wife..........have you seen some of the outfits that were worn back then!!!! Hurt me. :Q
