Trying to understand this thing. Does it only save your pictures locally? I logged on to my account from another computer and my pictures weren't there.

If so, how do you do backups?

AFAIK, Picasa isn't a picture hosting service...it's just for editing and such...although Google also offers Picasa Web Albums.

If you only have their photo editing software, it doesn't automatically set up web albums.

Facebook is the first thing that comes to mind .

I also have a PhotoBucket account, which is only 500 MB storage. Not sure how much Flickr gives you. Edit: 100 MB/month for free Flickr accounts.

Ugh, Hotmail is starting to piss me off ever since they integrated Messenger into it. Causes script errors like crazy. I may have to migrate to a different service at some point. Don't use it if you're not already on it.
