Picasa.ini ARG!

edro

Lifer
I thought this new Picasa thing was pretty slick. Everything works great, is fast, and looks really good.

Then I realized that it puts a Picasa.ini file in EVERY directory that has images in it. It is a hidden file, but anyone who is more than a regular user has hidden files visible.

Stupid files... I hate extra files...

Is there a way to disable them? If so, I'm not seeing it.

I believe it's just a way to have picasa organize your files without having to move them to different directories.

It is... you can open the .ini and see that it is just a way for Picasa to find each picture (instead of searching everytime).

But I hate it... 🙁

I wouldnt worry about it too much. Honestly though, I think Picassa could have put these files in their main directory instead and just point to different places on your hard drive. I dont see a need to physically create a new file in each picture directory.
