OHHHH i got love for SG alright. I want to get one with a black body, possibly with or without the white outline depending where i can find one.

by the way, vintage? cost?
 
Sorry, no SG love from me either. It's a little too high end sound for me (treble-wise). I prefer a nice heavy les paul that can put some balls behind the music.

It's a 1977. I have no idea what it costs, it was a gift many years ago. 🙂

I think Angus Young puts plenty of "balls" behind the music that he plays on his SG. 🙂

Nice guitar. My friend's parents bought him a $1200 Angus Young Signature SG about a year ago and he loves it. I don't really like the sound of the SG though (his anyway). I'd take my 1988 Fender American HM Strat over it any day of the week 🙂

Sure, a couple have done it, but Angus puts balls behind it, but isn't heavy. Iommi can when he wants. Do you want the list that bring the heavy out of the Les Paul? C'mon...Les Paul has WAY more balls than SG anyday, it's just made that way.

Don't worry, I'm not calling you a pansy rocker or anything, I just prefer something with a deeper tone that doesn't bounce off all the walls.

he's really not that good of a guitar player if thats what you're asking 😛 his parents kind of spoil him. he's actually a drummer but has about 5 guitars altogether 😕

Ohh okay 🙂 He just runs it straight though his amp, a Fender Chorus soemthing or other. It's a pretty nice amp, 2x10" iirc.

I can't find any site that has a pic of my amp.. but it's a Marshall VS100 100w head and a VS-Style 4x12" cabinet.

Yay for RGs -- I have a desert sun yellow RG-550 with EMGs that I got off ebay about 6 years ago. It's not my primary guitar anymore, but it's definitely fun. Although I haven't bothered to restring it since a string broke -- the Floyd Rose can be a PITA, heh.

that was one of the changes they made to the 550>570. its a hekuva lot easier to restring, and the locking actually works.. 😀
