Pic of my car and digital camera question

My sister picked up a cheaper model digital camera.. an Olympus d-390 2MP. I tested it out by taking a pic of my car. I have to say that I am not very impressed, I knew she wouldn't be getting much out of a cheap camera, but this picture looks blurry and not very good quality. I took it on 1600x1200 Super Quality. Do you think I did something wrong? I thought these things were point and shoot, or did my sister just get what she paid for 🙂

The only crappy thing about that pic is that huge banner across your windshield. Your car is pretty nice looking (stock anyway) other than that crappy banner.

How much did she pay for it?

Oh - and that's about right for a 2mp. My crappy 1.3 Kodak takes pictures slightly fuzzier
 
The camera was something like $200 canadian.. pretty cheap like I said. I tried to convince her to get an Canon a40 or A70 but she wouldn't bite 🙁

I agree with the banner comment, it actually came on the car, it is one of those Dodge 'born to be alive' slogan stickers :S

On that note, does anyone have any suggestions regarding how to take that sticker off without scratching the windshield? I have been meaning to do it, but never got around to it

I have the same camera and am quite happy with it for what it is. Maybe your technique needs improvement.

You might cut down on the resolution unless you are really going to enlarge the pics. 1024 x768 is quite good for Inet pics.

Examples.

Not the best, just quick shots. All were also cropped from bigger shots. Cars are hard to shoot. Try some landscapes.

You can always spend more on a camera but its usually the person using it that determines the results.

At the bottom of the page. That's the same thing I do to take off the registration stickers whenever I'm replacing it. You'll have some sticky residue left over (possibly) but alcohol will take that right off
