I just saw this originally from amdmb.com and then onto TBreak look at the right hand pic. So apparently these boards are already in production.

Nice find.. The KT400 is almost a joke...sort of like the original KT266. As soon as it came out, it was already being outperformed by the "older" KT333 boards. After a few updates, it can finally perform slightly faster than the KT333 boards, but usually no more than ~2%. Almost as soon as it was out, the KT400A was already being mentioned as it's replacement.

Personally, until the KT400A or Nforce 2 boards are out, I can't see any reason to buy a KT400 board right now..

so true and right now I just can see myself upgrading to anything lower than this and XP2400 minimum hopefully before xmas. I kinda abandon the thought of seeing the XP2800 anytime before Feb or March of 03.

I have a friend at Iwill that tells me their KT400A based board should be out "soon".
Since Iwill "missed" the KT333 and took too long for KT400 they are gonna wait for the KT400A.
as most people know, the "A" version of any Via chipset is more desireable.

yeah, my brother is on his KT266 MSI computer right now. i've got my KT266a and i will be happy until hammer come out. my other brother got the best deal though: $100 for a K7S5A and 1600+ CPU. there is nothing revolutionary out there, not like SDRAM + Duron to DDR + AthlonXP for me. i will just wait until the hammer is out.
