lol... I hate to sound like I'm depressed because my server hasn't got any use, but it's true...

the free hosting pic service is there for a reason, so go ahead and use it people!

it's a shame to see it go un-noticed...

I know my server's been having some problems in the past, but fortunately I worked them out, and it's all looking good :)

(I don't make any money off the site either, it's a public service to anandtech, and I'd like for it to get it's proper use out of, which is why I made this post)

Thank you...

well, yllus developed the service...

I host it and run if off of my linux server... basically it runs off of apache and cgi... also an email server...

It's nice to host something if you have the space...

Thanks for the information. Do you know how many GB transfer you burn each month?

I don't really have anything to monitor how many gigs are going out each month...

then again my hosting service isn't anything really popular yet anyways, so I'm sure it's nowhere near pics.bbzzdd.com...

Too bad, that would have been interesting. I was thinking of offering a similar service for my members but I only have a limited amount of space and transfer (2GB, 75GB) to do this.

FREE space! How can I resist? :D I need a Pic Posting site anyway.
I'm assuming that pics can be "linked" using your service, unlike Geocities?

amdskip: wireless... and it's only at 256kb... but when it's finally showing that it can get use more than "ever now and then" then I'm going to get a faster connection for it...

javeed: awesome :) getting it now :)

blaine: yes, you can link to it, I'd just appreciate it if you used it for anandtech for the most part... (not like I'd know anyways but oh well :))

platinum: maybe, I'll talk to yllus about it...

How about adding the feature of having thumbnail pics next to the link.

only problem with this is that the pic needs to be resized. I am sure it can be down under linux using gimp.
