There's a nifty little application called Super Pi that can calculate it out to 32 million digits on your home PC. Up to 4 billion, IIRC, are available for download from the writers of the program. That would be a 3.75 GB text file.
Thats a lot of downloading.
I always found it interesting that somewhere in the infinite digits of pi windows xp is coded out in there. So is every piece of software ever written and every piece that ever will be written
