can you run the card with another graphics adapter, or are we just looking at a video card that is seperately run on it's own without the need of a secondary video adapter?

You need the physX card and also a video card. You need both.

(your question is kind of confusing to me so maybe I didn't understand exactly what you wanted to know)

It's an add-on accelerator card, not a VGA card. It doesn't have any interface or connector (beyond the PCI, of course.)

Right...to further clarify, it goes into a pci slot and is separate from your graphics card. The backplate on the card is solid (there are no monitor connectors).

It only handles physics operations and at this point in time is not really optimized for games. Plus, at it's current price you are better off waiting...

"not really optimized for games" - you meant vica versa, right? ;)

another question, does anyone know if patches will be released to allow older games to utilize the physX engine?

300 bucks, huh?

No. There is more chance of the pope going out on the lash and getting the koran tattooed in tiny little lettering on his 3rd leg.
