nice one false christian... Honestly the game is free and nobody wants to play it (me included)... i did the toturial and played a couple of times and that its. It is a really bad game.
Graphics, physics, those don't make a game fun. Gameplay, story, voice acting, level design, mechanics... those make a game fun.
as for not comitted:
- Two new levels for Warmonger?Tombstone and Asylum
One game? and this is now two new levesl, its been how long since the last level for it was released? they should have made an entire campaign by now. not two more levels. And made made the game good while at it.
- Crazy Machines 2?Featuring GPU-accelerated NVIDIA PhysX effects
... is there REALLY a need for physics for crazy machines? anyways that series sucked for a while... I recommend you try out goo-world.
- Dark Basic Fluids Demo by Kenneth Bugeja
- Dark Basis PhysX Soft Body Demo by Kenneth Bejega
Two tech demoes... by "some guy"? Is he even compensated for nvidia for this? do we really need to see ANOTHER demo of physics?
- NVIDIA PhysX Screensaver
Science preserve me... think of the waste of POWER! the fan loudly churning as the GPU crunches physx data... for a screen saver? And I shudder at the DX bugs it would cause (for example, if the screen saver turned on while some DX thing or another was running). And it is a SCREEN SAVER.
- Power Director 7.0 Trial?with NVIDIA CUDA-accelerated video effects
- TMPGENC XPRESS 4.6.2.266 Trial?with NVIDIA CUDA-accelerated video effects
Those seem like nice programs... but those are just trial versions. So ok, this time they are showing there is actually software for it, which you can buy.
Some companies like microsoft showed us how it is done with the xbox... nvidia has the money, it could invest in some game companies for them to make games that had native physX implementation. If they were trying to avoid annoying people they could have made it scaleable physX so you could play those games on a CPU only... at the cost of it not looking as good. But you know what? it could have ended up making them a goldmine. Like how halo probably paid for itself and then some for microsoft.
