This is what I did...
I uninstalled my video drivers, my physx drivers..
I restarted, installed the 8.04? version of physx.
I restarted, installed the 19* version of nVidia drivers (current).
I restarted, installed the 9.* version of physx (current).

WHY IS PHYSX NOT SHOWING IN WINDOWS /SYSTEM* ? I need to set it to PCI card acceleration, NOT GPU or CPU!

1. Please describe exact system setup.
2. You should NOT install nvidia drivers the way you have been, the proper way to install nvidia drivers is:
a. Install latest driver, overwriting existing driver (no removal).
b. Reboot
c. If suspecting an improper installation install the SAME driver a SECOND time (the first attempt would have partially installed the driver and disabled the components of the old driver that were refusing to be removed)
d. reboot.
This "double install" procedure is the most effective method I have found to overcome install issues... physX is included in drivers and should not be installed manually. I have had cases where I would loop around with uninstall/install many times with no results, this double install solved it (alternatively, boot into safe mode and use a specialized driver removal tool; the nuclear option is to reformat but shouldn't be needed)
This also used to apply to ATI drivers, but with recent drivers you cannot downgrade drivers without first uninstalling.

Supposition. Do you have an ATI GPU, even an IGP on the mobo? nVidia drivers come with DRM that disables physics if the drivers detect an ATI GPU or IGP.

I have Win XP MCE, 4gB DDR3 1600, RAID 0 F3's, 720 BE, GA-MA770T-UD3P, GTX 260 216.

My GPU drivers work fine, I am trying to get the PhysX option menu that exists in C:\Windows\System or System32, I forget... It's NOT part of the nVidia control panel.

The 8.09 drivers leave me with PhysXCPIUI on System32..
When I do 9.10, they're gone.....

They didn't disappear before when I did it in Vista, and I've been able to get them to stay on XP sometimes, too.
