I need help with one physics homework problem. Here it goes:
A 1 kg beaker containing 2 kg of oil rests on a scale. A 2 kg block of iron is suspended from a spring scale and completely submerged in oil. Find the equilibrium readings of both scales. Here's how it looks like:

The answers I got are 17.32 N (1.77 kg) for upper scale and 29.4 N (3 kg) on the lower scale. Is that right?

The buoyant force of the oil will hold up some of the iron, so the mass on the bottom scale will be more.
I think, if I remember from my physics class from last year.
