physically locking my xbox to something

I am going to be living in a frat house next year, and I'm a little afraid that my xbox might get stolen cause people will see what it can do, and I'm not always there 24/7

Does anyone know a way to physically lock down the xbox to something? like chain it to something? I cant find a good place to put a lock on it, and its a little hard to drill holes in it cause the cover slides over the whole thing kinda

are those adhesive things easy to take off?

i will be using it daily so i cant just lock it away and take it out every sec

I'd be less worried about it getting stolen as it getting ruined. I'd put the tv in your room and keep it there... with the xbox... all locked.... etc

I don't think you can take them off very easily, as I'm sure they bind themselves with the plastic of whatever the item is. Down side is that you'd be stuck with it on there, no pun intended.

most liley not them but everyone else, all the frats at my school keep nothing in any of teh comon areas because it gets taken during partys and such

hell at one of them the had to start chaining the fidge shut because soneone stole all the food as well as the shelves once

You could put some kind of clamping mechanism around it, though that would look incredibly ghetto. If you've modded it you could open it up and slip some cable around the more sturdy mount points, since you've already invalidated the warrantee.

Actually I think there's a grille area that's accessable from the exterior and is also attached to the whole case, either on the side or in the front. Just get a thin cable and lock it around the thing.

Oh yeah, put one of those pet low-jacks in your XBox, just in case. 😉

EDIT: You can also get metal cases for consoles, though I'm not sure on the cost. If you bolt that down to something it'll make it near impossible to move.
