Physical Memory dump error

I just got some new Kingston 1GB DDR PC3200, and I can't get it to run above 166mhz. If I do i get a physical memory dump error. In the BIOS i have to lower the performance to 166Mhz, 'auto' or 'by SPD' will cause it to run at 200mhz and then i get the error. I know the memory isn't bad b/c I tried in in my friends AN35-N and it ran just fine at 200mhz. No errors on the RAM, I ran memtest overnight and there are no errors. Thanks for and help.

Has any memory run stable @ 200MHz in your rig before? I see you are a socket A supporter. I still have a Barton 2500+ @ 2.5GHz in my closet. 😛

1) manually set the cas latency in the BIOS
2) raise the DDR voltage to 2.7v
3) try a different mobo bios
4) try a diff memory slot
5) try a diff stick of memory

Alright, I raised the voltage to 2.7v and it seems so be working fine @200mhz. I checked with cpu-z and it said it was running at 200.9Mhz. Thanks man.

Oifish, glad it worked out for you. You may want to run Prime95 torture for a couple of hours and/or SuperPi 32M. If you can pass then I will give you :thumbsup:
