Physical HD errors

I have been so clumsy to drop my old harddisk on the floor. I seems to have some physical errors which I can't fix. I tried to run scandisk under Windows ME it took 2 days, a long time for a 13GB disk I would say.
I hoped all the bad sectors would be marked but there still seems to be errors.
Is there anything I can do to make the hd useable again ?

Perhaps someone has a link where I can read about the problem

If ME is the same as Win98, did you check the "Throrugh" and "fix errors" boxes when you ran scandisk? If not, do so. You might also check the HDD manufacturer website for a diagnostic repair utilitly. I know that IBM has one; my guess is that your HDD maker also has one. The repair utitilies usually will lock out bad sectors.
