Great album. I believe it was their attempt to gain some artistic cred, and they did a great job. It's one of my favorite albums.

So many great songs, a must have for ant '70's rock collection. Surprised youtube would allow the entire album, thought they were told not to allow this..

The voice sounds familiar. Is that the same guy who backed up Alison Krauss on Raising Sand?

The rage is building!!!

I know you are only joking, but he doesnt sound like the old Robert plant anymore, so you couldn't have recognized the voice.

The best Led Zeppelin album and one of my favourites.

The thing about that album was it was made mostly from leftovers of previous albums. They made about 5 original songs, and the rest were pulled out of the vaults.

A lot of people say they used up their ideas after this album. The next album Presence was bland and disappointing, and their final In Though the Out Door was too soft and pop-y. Drugs and booze took a big toll on Page and Bonham, to the point where if Bonham didn't die from an alcohol OD, Page would have. I like to think of PG as the last true Zeppelin album.
