phpMyAdmin

I'm having trouble logging in on anything but "config".

If I set it to "http" I get "404 error page not found".

If I set it to "cookie" I get "404 error page not found".

What I want to do it set it up so I have to log in every time I want access.

If I set it up on "config" it seems to me that anyone who types in my page addy with the dir. name afterwards will have access. I am trying to get away from this.

I am pretty much a newb to this progie. I did the initial install thru the faq of my provider and it went off without a hitch. The only problem is they have you set it up as "config" and that seems very insecure to me.

Any help would be appriciated. TY!

Use .htaccess to protect your phpMyAdmin directory. I don't think phpMyAdmin has a built-in login thingy.
